نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Behcet’s disease (BD) is a systemic vasculitis with multiorgan involvement. Objectives To compare the risk of all-cause and cause specific mortality among patients BD compared to general population Methods Using 2002-2017 Korea National Health Insurance database, we conducted cohort study matched on age sex at 1:5 ratio. The primary outcome was death any cause, secondary outcomes were cause-specific for top 5 causes death. Cox proportional hazards models estimated hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs), comparing versus population. Results PS-matched (mean 42.1 years; 32.0% male) included 32288 161440 controls. During mean follow-up 9.6 years, 2214 deaths occurred. HR [95%] 10.6 [9.6-11.6]. Top derived from malignancy, cardiovascular disease, infection, respiratory injury: these 8.5 [7.2-10.1], 10.8 [8.6-13.6], 14.6 [8.1-26.3], 12.0 [8.5-17.0], 8.0 [5.0-13.0], respectively. Conclusion This population-based warns exceptionally heavy burden showing approximately 10 times higher In line this, also significantly patients, Disclosure Interests None declared

Personal Mastery and All-Cause Mortality among Older Americans Living with Diabetes
Introduction: Higher personal mastery is associated with better physical functioning, wellbeing, and longevity among older populations. However, few studies have focused on whether personal mastery is protective against mortality among older adults living with diabetes over time. Methods: A total of 1,779 participants were identified from an off-year survey of the Health and Retirement Study....
متن کاملCause-specific excess mortality among dialysis patients: comparison with the general population in Japan.
Despite significant therapeutic advances, mortality of dialysis patients remains unacceptably high. The aim of this study is to compare mortality and its causes in dialysis patients with those in the general Japanese population. We used data for 2008 and 2009 from the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy registry and a national Vital Statistics survey. Cardiovascular mortality was defined as d...

AIM This study was conducted to investigate the role of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in 1-year all cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality among Chinese patients who were at least 50 years old and had a history of coronary artery disease (CAD), stroke, or peripheral vascular disease (PAD), or with two or more cardiovascular risks. METHODS Of 3,732 hospitalized patients enrolled, 3,423 pa...
متن کاملAll-cause and cause-specific mortality associated with diabetes in prevalent hemodialysis patients
BACKGROUND Diabetes is the most common risk factor for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and has been associated with increased risk of death. In order to better understand the influence of diabetes on outcomes in hemodialysis, we examine the risk of death of diabetic participants in the HEMODIALYSIS (HEMO) study. METHODS In the HEMO study, 823 (44.6%) participants were classified as diabetic. U...
متن کاملAll-cause and cause-specific mortality among black and white North Carolina state prisoners, 1995-2005.
PURPOSE We compared mortality rates among state prisoners and other state residents to identify prisoners' health care needs. METHODS We linked North Carolina prison records with state death records for 1995-2005 to estimate all-cause and cause-specific death rates among black and white male prisoners ages 20-79 years and used standardized mortality ratios (SMRs) to compare these observed dea...
